Position
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Underwater Technology division in Esbjerg. You’ll become part of a small, experienced team within a newly established department that’s still in its formative phase. This gives you a unique opportunity to significantly impact the future of MacArtney underwater engineering.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (with strong emphasis on applied mathematics, structural mechanics, or similar).
- At least 5 years of engineering experience, ideally with exposure to calculation-heavy tasks.
- Strong skills in analytical mechanical design and structural calculations.
- Solid understanding of engineering mathematics, including statics, dynamics, and material strength.
- Hands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis (preferably in Autodesk/NASTRAN or similar tools).
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling (preferably Autodesk Inventor).
- Knowledge of both metallic and plastic materials and their mechanical behaviour.
- Comfortable working in a structured, project-driven environment with shifting priorities.
- Excellent technical English; Danish is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex requirements into robust solutions - Understand customer needs and convert them into technically sound, calculation-driven product designs and customised engineering solutions.
- Contribute with analytical insight - Work closely with project teams to ensure that design decisions are supported by solid engineering principles and data-based evaluations.
- Bridge theory and practice - Apply your analytical and theoretical expertise in collaboration with workshop technicians, ensuring feasibility and functionality of designs.
